Meet Your Role Model

Founder, CEO & CTO of KinetikIQ Emma Meehan

Emma was thinking about the problems she was facing during her own training, and that's where her business idea sparked! She and her team are developing KinetikIQ to make physiotherapy and strength training more effective in sporting teams. I've always been super interested in technology and fascinated by its capabilities. Emma works with teams in American leagues and the NHL, as well as pilots across the Premier League, Champions League, and NFL.

Founder and CEO Fitzalan Crowe

Fitzalan always wanted to travel and found a way to do it while working in the Sports Industry. She was also the co-founder of a Sports Tech/Med Tech organisation.

How to use the World Cup classroom kit

The World Cup runs across a whole month, so this classroom kit has been designed to be flexible.

You can use it as a one-off lesson, spread it across several sessions, or revisit different sections with different year groups throughout the tournament.

The content is pre-recorded, so you are in control of how and when you use it with your students.

You could use the kit to:

  • Run it as a full classroom session by playing the recording from start to finish and completing the activities as they appear.

  • Pause and discuss key questions with your class. We will clearly signpost moments where you can stop the video and complete short activities.

  • Split the content across different days by focusing on one part of the recording at a time.

  • Use it with different year groups, choosing the sections or activities that feel most relevant to your students.

  • Link it to careers learning, helping students explore how football connects to technology, data, creativity, health and performance.

  • Encourage independent learning by directing students to the InnovateHer Sports Tech course, where they can explore the sports industry in more depth.

Suggested use

This works well as a 45-minute classroom activity, a form time session across the month, a careers lesson, or as part of a wider World Cup-themed project.
